Master Site Plan Meeting

I had mentioned in a previous post in December that the Erie County Conservation District has been granted funding to create a Master Site Plan.  Now the New Year is here and we are ready to get to work!  I will mention this date and time more than once in this post so no one misses it - we have scheduled a public meeting on January 23rd @ 6pm here at the Conservation District office.  We are really looking forward to meeting with all people interested in the future of Headwaters.

We will begin with a description of how the Plan will be created and what we already have out in the Park.

Then we will move on to what directions we might like to see the Park move toward.  Perhaps someone would like to see a boardwalk or observation deck near the wetlands.

Perhaps a trail in a different location.

Someone might be interested in seeing a diversity of plant species.
Or more information available about plant or wildlife species.

Perhaps there are folks that would like to see a version of a fitness trail.

This public meeting is the time for all of our Park patrons to let us know what they enjoy about Headwaters, and what direction they would like to see the Park take in the next few years.

Mark your calendars - January 23rd @ 6pm at the Conservation District office.

As we have hosted various events throughout 2013 and worked with such a variety of community members, I know there is interest in the future of the Park.  With events such as the Envirothons in May, day camp visits in the summer, the Pumpkin Walk in the fall, and snowshoeing/skiing in the winter, we see visitors on almost a daily basis.

Dog walkers.

Hikers.

Geocachers.

Families.

Trail runners.

Wildlife watchers.

The public is welcome to this meeting.  Save the date for January 23rd @ 6pm at the Conservation District office.  We look forward to seeing you!
