Ice World

It certainly isn't the epic storm of 2014 in Buffalo, but we do experience our fair (sometimes more than) of winter weather here in Erie.  Friday was no exception with delays, whiteouts, grumbling, and sliding (both sleds and cars).  But there is an ethereal beauty within the snowy months, and Headwaters Park is alive with activity and also sleepy and soft with slower winter months.

However, the blanket of snow does not stop activity in the Park!  There are many residents, human and non-human, that make their way through the forest, meadow, stream and wetlands.

Can you name the tracks in the middle?
Who made these tracks?
Aaaannnnndddd these?

Perhaps my two favorites
It is a wonderful opportunity to hike through the Park on a snowy or even muddy day.  Take time to notice what's happening around you!
